Winns and the Sunshine Fund tackle the Great North Run
Two members of the Winns team are joining forces with the Sunshine Fund to tackle the Great North Run.
Mick Davis and Adam Robinson will be raising money for the charity this year when they tackle the 13.1 mile route. They’ll be wearing rather snazzy vests too, as Winns are sponsoring Sunshine Fund’s official kit.
Set up by The Chronicle, the Sunshine Fund provides specialist equipment to disabled children all across the North East, providing a vital and sometimes life changing service for individuals and families.
Clare Savory, Events Manager at Sunshine Fund said: “We are delighted to have Winns Solicitors sponsoring this year’s Great North Run, running vests. We have 100 runners taking on the challenge for 'Team Sunshine' this year. All the money raised will be supporting children with disabilities in the North East.
“Without the support of companies like Winns Solicitors, we would be unable to support so many children with their specialised equipment. Good luck to everyone running this year’s Great North Run.”
The Great North Run is the world’s second biggest half-marathon, and it enters it’s thirty fourth year this September.
As a long-time supporter of the charity, Winns are thrilled to be supporting the Sunshine Fund’s team as they run the 13.1 mile course from Newcastle to South Shields.
Good luck to everyone running, but especially to Mick, Adam and the Sunshine Fund team!
