Winn Solicitors staff raised £1400 for North East charity the Sunshine Fund, by taking part in last month’s five kilometre Sunshine Run, along the Newcastle Gateshead Quayside.

An impressive 27 Winns Solicitors employees took part in the run, which was organised in order to raise money for North East charity The Sunshine Fund. Special congratulations go to Andy Morris, who was the first member of the Winns team to cross the finish line, in an impressive 20 minutes and 48 seconds.

Associate Director Jo Amos, who took part in The Sunshine Run, said: “We are delighted to be making this donation to The Sunshine Fund, to support them in their work with disabled children around the North East. Congratulations to the team on their fundraising efforts – we look forward to taking part in The Sunshine Run again next year, and raising more money for this worthwhile cause.”

The event was part of the charity’s ‘Go Bananas’ fundraising campaign, which was comprised of a number of fundraisers throughout June 2015. As part of the Go Bananas campaign, Winn Solicitors also held a ‘Wear Yellow’, raising further funds for the charity.

The Sunshine Fund supports disabled children across the North East of England by providing specialised equipment to children across the region, through individuals, groups, registered organisations, special and mainstream schools, and hospitals.
