Our Charity of the Year - Great North Air Ambulance Service

Winn Group are delighted to announce our chosen charity of the year will be the Great North Air Ambulance Service.

Throughout the coming year we will be hosting three feature charity event days, with a different activity on each of those days, in an effort to raise funds for this local charity who do fantastic work saving lives following major incidents.

"It's great to have Winn Group on board for the year ahead," said Grahame Pickering MBE, chief executive of GNAAS. 

"We are completely reliant on public donations and last year we needed to raise £5.1 million to keep flying, so we are hugely grateful that they have chosen to support us. We wish them all good luck with the fundraising for GNAAS."

Michael Warmington, our Associate Director - Head of HR and Office Management, was delighted to have the agreement in place, which enables Winn Group the chance to support a charity which is appropriate to the business.

"Winns are proud to support The Great North Air Ambulance Service and are delighted to announce that they are our charity of choice for 2019," he said. 

"GNAAS provide vital services across the North East, inclusive of critical care teams on the road, therefore we feel it is very much appropriate for our business to support this charity. This is a tremendous resource within our region and we would urge others to support this exceptional cause and the individuals working within this service."
