Deafness Support Network in Warrington

Winns have recently been awarded the 'Louder Than Words' accreditation which means we have adapted our services to be able to serve those who are Deaf or hard of hearing.

There are several charities across the UK which help to create awareness for those who have a hearing disability. One such group is the Deafness Support Network (DSN) who are holding an event today in Warrington. The free event will take place at the Golden Square shopping centre from 9am until 7:30pm. Attendants will have a chance to try their hand at British Sign Language (BSL) and do a crash course in lip reading skills and techniques.

A member of the DSN was quoted as saying, “We have a variety of services to help people including hearing management courses, youth services and family tactic’s support.”

Staff from the Cheshire Fire Department will also be attending the event to offer advice for deaf emergency protocol.
