David Dewar Joins Winn Solicitors

Winn Solicitors Ltd., is delighted to announce that David Dewar joins the firm from today in the new role of Head of Contested Litigation (Associate Director) with overall responsibility for Part 7, Fraud, Employee Liability, Public Liability and, in time, other areas of litigation.

David’s past involvement in commercial and key decision-making at large practises around changes to the Personal Injury (PI) market, and his knowledge in general as well as longstanding relationships with a number of barristers’ chambers, make him the perfect complement to the current Winns team.

In addition, his extensive commercial litigation experience accord with Winns future plans to expand into this new area post reforms. As well as overseeing litigated personal injury work, David will therefore be assessing the level of training which will be needed to transition solicitors and staff to the commercial litigation opportunities of the future.

David is well-known and respected throughout the industry qualifying 15 years ago at Browell Smith & Co before moving to Ward Hadaway where he became a Partner. He joins Winns from his Partner role at Beecham Peacock where he is described as a ‘tough litigator with meticulous attention to detail.’
