Have you had an accident and are now looking to make a car insurance claim in the North East?
If the answer is yes; make your first call to Winn Solicitors and the team will immediately set about getting your life back to normal as quickly as possible.
We have provided a guide that details how to make a car insurance claim, or indeed any vehicle insurance claim, with Winns, before your insurer, so you can get back on the road, back to full health and back on track as quickly as possible.
When involved in a car accident, the resulting claim will be based on a non-fault or at fault basis. This is dependent on the circumstances of the accident and your involvement in it.
If you suffered an accident that wasn’t your fault, and it was due to the negligence of a third party, then your claim would classed as non-fault and whoever you have instructed to act on your behalf should recover the cost of the claim from the other side.
An at fault car insurance claim will be conducted after a car accident in which you were at fault for. If the nature and circumstances of the accident see you being liable, then your insurance provider, will be expected to meet the costs associated with the claim being made.
There is no set timetable with regards the process of submitting, processing and concluding a claim as a number of factors can have an impact. The nature of the accident, the complexity of the circumstances and the extent of the damage and injury caused can delay proceedings, as can court procedures, in the unlikely event your claim goes to court.
What you can be sure of, though, is you can rely on a team of expert advisors who will ensure your claim is progressed as quickly as possible, while acting decisively to get the best possible outcome for you.
There are many benefits to making that first call post-accident to Winn Solicitors. We have a dedicated team of expert advisors on hand to help with:
Handled my car accident claim brilliantly! My contact was Donna Patterson and she was very professional and helpful. Unlike some other companies, if you ring for an update you'll get one without sitting on hold for half of the day! I would absolutely use Winns again, in the unfortunate event that I'd need to!

If you’ve been involved in an accident that wasn’t your fault, you have three years from the date of the accident to start your claim. There are more benefits to starting your claim sooner, in fact the sooner the better.
In the immediate aftermath of an accident, you may be able to call on witnesses and utilise details which would support your claim such as CCTV from business premises local to your accident.
If you are considering making a car insurance claim in the North East, call Winns first, before your insurer, to get an efficient and effective accident management service.
Making a claim involves just one phone call to Winns.
On that call, our advisor will take all relevant details to the accident, discuss the circumstances surrounding it and assess the scenario to provide appropriate advice as to whether your claim can be progressed.
If so, the same advisor will immediately set about tailoring our response to you; do you need your vehicle assessed by an independent engineer? Does it require repairs? Do you need medical treatment? How can we get that treatment to you as quickly as possible?
All of those questioned will motivate our actions following that first call.
We have a number of ways to get in touch; call us 24 hours-a-day seven days-a-week, request a call-back at a time to suit you or start a Live Chat.
We’re ready to help you get the compensation and support you deserve.
Winn solicitors have been very helpful concerning my car accident. Winns arranged a [hire] car while my car is being repaired. They have also arranged physio with an exercise programme for me to follow.

It will help the progress of your claim if you can have as many details about the accident as possible, including insurance details of the at fault party, as well as the registration number of their vehicle.
Being able to recount what happened, the conditions on the day and the layout of the road would also be beneficial. If you had pictures of the damage and scene, this would also be hugely beneficial but not essential when making a claim initially.
Winn Solicitors have really been there for me. I had a car accident and this was my first ever accident so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I’ve been helped every step of the way; extremely recommend!!
