Slipping and tripping injuries are an increasingly common occurrence in the workplace. Did you know you can make a slip at work claim for personal injury compensation?
These incidents often unfold through no fault of the person most affected by it and can leave them with an altered future in the short, medium and/or long-term. Some can be left permanently injured as a consequence, facing a hugely uncertain future without employment and the wages that come with that.
With more than 20,000 accidents of this nature each year, often the responsibility falls on the employer as they haven’t provided the necessary level of diligence in terms of health and safety, as required by law.
If you have been involved in an accident in the workplace and believe your employer may be at fault, contact our dedicated team today for a no-obligation chat and start your slip at work claim now.

If you’ve suffered as a result of a slip or trip at work, have you considered if there were appropriate safety procedures in place? The company you work for has an obligation to provide relevant safety procedures and policies to cover the workplace and mitigate the potential for accidents on site.
Is there a valid, current risk assessment in place? What about appropriate guidance on suitable footwear for the environment you work in? Are there clear instructions and signage on cleaning the workplace to avoid slips, trips, and falls?
If, on reflection, you don’t think these essentials were in place at the time of your non-fault accident that resulted in injury to you, then you may be eligible to make a personal injury claim.
I had an accident at work that was not my fault and decided to contact Winn Solicitors to enquire about compensation. My case was not by any means straightforward or easy to work out, it was a rather complicated matter…They are very hard-working people that give you time and attention when it’s needed. Congratulations Winn Solicitors on winning my case and many thanks.

This is a potentially difficult question to answer as the amount you could be eligible for after a slip, trip, and fall at work is based on a range of factors. Considerations include:

If you have suffered an injury at work as the result of a slip, trip and fall then you may be eligible to start a claim. As long as the company you work for is at-fault for the accident - this can be demonstrated in a number of ways that you may not have previously considered - you may be able to claim.
Make that call today and see if you could be eligible to make a claim for personal injury compensation.
By law, your employer cannot sack you for making a personal injury claim against the firm. If they were to do so and it was established that this was the reason, you would be able to make a claim for unfair dismissal.
Be assured that your company will have an insurance policy in place that caters specifically for accidents at work and the potential for compensation as a result. The company itself doesn’t pay the compensation directly, it will be paid by the policy provider meaning no adverse financial effect to the employer other than a slight rise in their insurance premium, maybe, in future years.
